Kathy McCabe
Founder | Owner | Principal Designer
An entrepreneur at heart with a passion for creating beautiful and functional homes, Kathy brings more than 30 years of knowledge and experience to everything she does. Her unique style of blending old with new to develop unique, one-of-a-kind spaces regularly delights clients and customers. Whether working on a new design project, or creating a new vignette in the My Favorite Room studio, Kathy’s love of nature and objects that “tell a story” are the foundation of everything she creates. In addition to the creation of beautiful spaces, Kathy is dedicated to building and maintaining enduring customer relationships. This includes a committment to digging deep, exceding expectations, creating moments of delight, and maintaining frequent and open communication with clients, as well as her KBM and My Favorite Room teams.

Lindsey Horton
Senior Designer
Celebrating more than 20 years with KBM Designs, Lindsey has multiple responsibilities with the company. First and foremost is home design, with a focus on researching and developing the creative vision for multiple client design projects and helping bring design jobs to fruition. She is also the primary buyer for Finley & Mac, a must-see for downtown McKinney shoppers seeking upscale clothing, jewelry and accessories. Last but far from least, she leads the social media presence for KBM Designs Interiors and My Favorite Room, ensuring our clients and customers remain in-the-know about our latest news and activities.

Sarah Harris
Designer | Resource Library Manager
Sarah brings more than 20 years of experience in multiple facets of the interior design industry, including hospitality, commercial and residential design, project management, operations and luxury furnishing sales. She is our in-house CAD expert, creating detailed floor plans and visual models to help clients to visualize their spaces before any work actually begins. She also keeps the company’s in-house resource library well stocked and regulalry updated, ensuring our design and studio teams have access to the newest, in-stock products, styles and finishes when working on client and customer presentations.

Andrea Wilcox
Visual Stylist | Business Operations & Design Support | Web Site Design
With 10 years of experience in the interior design industry, and a prior background in communications and consulting, Andrea provides support in multiple areas of the company. Under the direction and guidance of owner and principal designer, Kathy McCabe, she is primarily responsible for styling and maintaining the My Favorite Room studio, as well as helping orchestrate in-house and client home photo shoots. She also supports Kathy in running business operations. Her design support includes resourcing project materials, as well as participating in design installations. When sitting down, she regularly updates and maintains the KBM Designs Interiors and My Favorite Room studio website.

Janice Fluker
Customer Relations, Studio Design & Operations
A former flight attendant, Janice brings impeccable customer service and attention to detail to the My Favorite Room. As a member of the MFR Studio team, her primary role is assisting store clients select home furnishings, bedding, clothing, jewelry and gifts in our store. She also works with customers with smaller design projects, including single room refreshes, custom bedding design, window treatments, reupholstery and refinishing. In addition to the Studio, Janice oversees and facilitates all purchases for the company, both for design and operations, to ensure items are received in perfect condition and in a timely fashion.

Terri Webb
Specialties Coordinater & Studio Design
As the Specialities Coordinator for My Favorite Room, Terri wears many hats. She is primarily responsible for managing special events and other marketing efforts for the company, including Instagram, charitable donations, and in-store events as well as acting as a liaison with Main Street McKinney to coordinate our participation in local community activities. She manages our MFR specialties division, including one-of-a-kind antiques and exclusive signature products, such as linen sprays, soaps and lotions. Last but far from least, she is a member of the MFR Studio Team, working with customers on smaller design projects, including single room refreshes, custom bedding design, window treatments, reupholstery and refinishing.

Amelia Elfrez
Customer Relations, Sales & Studio Design
Amelia brings more than two decades of experience in sales and showroom management, including sales, operations, buying, receiving, merchandising and assisting commercial and residental clients with design work. In addition to home furnishings, Amelia has held similar sales leadership roles in clothing and jewelry boutique fashion in and around the DFW area. At My Favorite Room, you will find her always ready to meet and greet each client and customer that calls with questions or walks through our front door, ensuring every individual is the recipient of exceptional customer service. When she is not providing in-store assistance, she focuses on the follow up, development and fulfillment of client custom orders for home furnishings, bedding, linens and more.

Megan Logan
Customer Relations, Sales & Studio Design
After a 2-year hiatus, we are excited to welcome Megan back to the My Favorite Room team. During her time away, she successfully completed an Associates Degree program in Interior Design. She also gained directly-related on-the-job experience working as an intern for an interior design company in Minnesota, where she practiced creating floor plans, participated in client presentations and helped complete several home staging projects. These experiences, along with her prior time spent working at My Favorite Room as part of our retail sales team, make her a valuable addition to not only our store, but to our growing MFR Studio design team.
